An attempt is always made to meet some of the immediate needs of the people. Donations of baby and children clothes, air conditioners, sports equipment, blankets, bedding, children books etc. Christmas gifts for children, housewares and baby items can be used and collected during the year. PSA owns two school buses for transporting children and materials between the states. Rented and donated trucks are also used to take the many tons of materials south. Some of the assistance has been to families who have lost everything in a fire, or are in some way handicapped, elderly or ill. These donations are usually distributed through a network in Mississippi.
